Mark Cookson has previously worked at Greater Manchester Police (GMP) as Web Manager and Ribble Valley Borough Council employed as CRM and Web Deveopment Officer, managing their on-line presence, utilising website and social media channels to maximum effect.
I was solely responsible for GMP being the first UK police force to reach out into social media, targeting hard to reach groups so the idea was that information would be published where the internet community was growing.
Web design and social media are my areas of expertise having used these to great extent in my previous roles.
I have developed a Self Serve system so that the residents of the Ribble Valley can access personalised services and information online at any time which accelerated channel shift and improved customer service by enabling citizens to self-serve through a common interface.
